Shearson Print Group has been working with Asian printers since 1989. We represent the largest export printer in Korea, Sung In Printing in the midwest and have chosen to represent them because of their unique capabilities. It gives us the opportunity to offer our clients a broad array of services, competitive pricing and unlimited capacity. The factory has particular specialties based on their equipment and experience and covers a wide range of product lines—books, calendars, catalogs, greeting cards and packaging.

What about turn-around time and proofs?

Normal production time is one week for press proofs and one to two weeks for printing and post-press depending on the quantity and complexity of the job. Proofs/art are sent via Fed Express and usually take 2 days each way. Average shipping time via sea to West Coast ports is 11 days from Korea. From there we ship by rail or truck to all U.S. destinations. Press proofs are a major bonus of printing in Asia, giving you much truer color than chromalins or matchprints. You’ll see exactly how your final printed piece will look at the proof stage.
